The Power of Thoughts
A Night So Sweet
A night so sweet, knowing that I am loved.
I am cared for and the universe is for me, not against me.
Today, after all, is all we have. All my fears go away.
Today, after all, is all we need.
I am safe. I am open. I await good things.
The Power of Our Thoughts
I wrote this poem on one of the days when I am so wrapped up in my head, believing that everything all around me is hopeless, scary and worrisome. How often are we this way? Deep in our thoughts, troubles, fear of the future and fear for what has been run across our minds and tangle one another up in messy, messy knots?
I am this way. The things I hear, the things I see, people’s reaction all around me makes me formulate thoughts in my head- and when I decide they are not pleasant, I drown in nights of worries and anxiousness. Is this you too?
It is hard to get out of this loop, especially if you think it is a normal way to be. But there should come a day when you want out, and you know that something can be done deep within you to keep you from feeling this way.
Read this if you want out of your daily misery. You create your own misery. I create my own misery. And if you and I are both creative enough to form some kind of suffering in our heads, we are also creative enough to think another way. Thoughts are powerful. And sometimes so powerful that we tend to believe that our thoughts is our life.
But here, let me tell you what life is. Your life is not your thoughts. Your thoughts are made up of your painful memories from the past and your scary imaginations of the future. That is what our thoughts are made up of.
Your life is right now. Right here. Are you breathing without pain? Can you move without restriction? Can you feel in your body? Then you are lucky than many people without realizing it.
Sometimes, it helps to have an empty mind to have a peaceful mind. The universe, the sun, the moon are all in their proper places, giving us the right amount of heat and light to make us thrive. The universe is for us. All we need is to enjoy the present moment as they come. We are so loved.
