Easy Cheeseburger Sliders

Fun, easy and utterly delicious, these Easy Cheeseburger Sliders are meaty, cheesy and perfect for movie or game nights!

Here is a fun dinner to make to shake things up- Easy Cheeseburger Sliders. Also, if you have a movie night coming up, or a game day, these are perfect too!

As for my family, this is a fun way to have something different on an ordinary day, all complete with a side of fries or onion rings.

Easy Cheeseburger Sliders

  • An easy version using loose ground beef instead of forming them into patties.
  • A tasty appetizer to serve when you have guests, or for a fun meal to have with kids at home.
  • This is easily doubled or tripled if you plan on serving a crowd.

Let’s Make It

Cook the Beef

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and the minced garlic. Cook until soft and translucent. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking apart the beef and tossing occasionally until browned.

Spoon out excess grease.

Add salt, pepper, and mustard powder. Stir to distribute. Add the mayonnaise and toss the ground beef to coat.Let the mixture cook for a few minutes more, then turn off the heat.

Make and Bake the Sliders

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lay the rolls on a clean, flat surface without breaking them apart. Slice the top half of the sliders in one piece.

Place the bottom half on a parchment-lined baking sheet.Spread ketchup on the buns. Arrange the swiss cheese slices over the buns, making sure the entire surface of the bread is covered.

Spoon the ground beef over the cheese. Sprinkle cheddar cheese all over. Place the top buns over the beef, then lightly press them down.

In a bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for a few seconds. Stir in the garlic powder to dissolve. Brush the butter mixture over the burger buns, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Bake the sliders at 350 F for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melty. If the tops are browning too much before the cheese has melted, loosely tent the pan with aluminum foil.

Serve Your Cheeseburger Sliders!

  • This is best with a sides of fries, onion rings, or potato wedges.
  • For ease, just open a bag of chips!
  • You can also serve this alongside a salad, or soup! The options are endless to make this a filling meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2-3 tbsp ketchup
  • 6-8 slices of swiss cheese
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (12 piece pack) Hawaiian Rolls
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2-3 tsp sesame seeds

Notes

Store leftover sliders in the fridge for up to two days, covered well. To enjoy them again, reheat them in the microwave. You can also warm them in the oven for a few minutes at 200 F, covered in foil.
