Basic T-Shirts I Love
Working from home, I find enormous value in basic and plain t-shirts for everyday wear. I talked about why I believe in dressing up each day for work, even if the work is home-based. For me, there is a significant difference in my mood, energy and motivation if I take a little time to prepare myself for the day, as opposed to being in my pajamas.
Having plain t-shirts in my wardrobe allow me to look put together without having to plan so much. Plain, solid colors takes out the elaborate work of coordinating, and styling. Throw a plain shirt with jeans, leggings or shorts and you are all set!
Need more reasons to love plain t-shirts?
- First, they are inexpensive. My favorites right now are from H and M, and Uniqlo. At 14.99 cad and 19.99 cad respectively, you cannot go wrong.
- Second, t-shirts are comfy, especially if you find ones that are perfect for you.
- Third, you can wear plain t-shirts on rotation. Repeatedly. No one may notice. No one will complain. On the other hand, how often can you wear a printed/patterned top in a week? I wash and wear my plain t-shirts week after week. They are my uniform.
- Fourth, Plain t-shirts are a canvas for your creativity. You can be as plain jane as you want, or step it up with accessories, coats and jackets. Pair it with jeans to rock it casually. Or put in on with a nice flowy snacks and you have a simple business attire. They are truly worthy pieces in your closets!

This is part jersey material and it hugs my body in the right places without being too snug, as long as I wear the right size. I am in large in the photo (first photo).
This is perfect quality in an affordable price. Thick and comfy, this withstands frequent washing because the quality stays good, the collar doesn’t sag and over-all very well made in my opinion (second photo).
